Hair Removal – Waxing vs Shaving

When it comes to hair removal you are faced with a few choices of methods to remove unwanted hair. Two of your options which we are going to compare here, include waxing and shaving.

Shaving is probably one of the most common methods for hair removal. It can be quick, simple and done at home. However, along with shaving comes the negatives which include razor burn, nicks & cuts, irritation and of course the fact that the results only last a day or two.

When it comes to waxing most women think a trip to the salon is necessary, however there are many home waxing kits available in the market today that make waxing at home convenient, safe and easy. Waxing at home can also save you time and money. The benefits of waxing over shaving include no razor burn or cuts and most importantly, much longer lasting results.

Another benefit when it comes to waxing is that if you have sensitive skin you can find waxing kits specially formulated to reduce irritation where as with shaving, a blade is a blade and there is not much you can do to reduce the skins sensitivity to that.

I also have to add that when it comes to waxing as a hair removal, as long as the instructions are followed and you take the necessary steps to prepare the skin before you wax, the results should be smooth, hair free skin without any negative side effects.
