Roast chicken – bag or no bag?

I’m making a roast chicken tonight, and I’m just wondering what people prefer? I have only made roast chicken in a bag, and I’m wondering how it is without a bag and just on a rack.

I like it just in a roasting pan with no bag. It gets brown and crispy on the outside that way.
